WE BELIEVE IN MAKING DISCIPLES
Light of The World Christian School is providing an excellent educational opportunity for some of the poor children of this village. Because of poverty and a generally poor public school system, these children are getting many opportunities that they would otherwise not receive. They benefit from small class sizes and caring, dedicated teachers.
The school is a safe and loving place for children. It has become a doorway to reach parents and the community with the love of Jesus by meeting physical needs such as house building and repair, dental and medical help, water filters as well as spiritual help and emotional support.
DISCIPLESHIP
We desire for our students to know the Lord Jesus, learn to listen to His voice and follow Him in obedience which will bring much blessing to their lives. Our leaders spend time in daily staff devotionals and weekly meetings to disciple the teachers. The teachers disciple their students in daily devotional times and in the classroom.
LEADERSHIP
Formation of strong leaders that will make a difference in their communities and the world. We encourage and teach our students leadership values so that they will be able to use these skills in their homes, their future occupations and their communities.
SPIRITUAL
TRANSFORMATION
Through daily worship and devotions, integrated Christian education, and the work of the church we strive to see the lives of students and their families to be transformed by the love of Jesus.
PHYSICAL
TRANSFORMATION
We provide a daily nutritious breakfast for our students. We also provide dental and medical help when needed.
SOCIAL
TRANSFORMATION
We desire to be a light and a center for the community around us to be able to find help in time of need. We have been focusing on community transformation by providing education, water filters, fuel-efficient stoves, food and clothing to many needy families in the surrounding communities. Our students have also participated in projects such as tree-planting, visiting families in need and inviting the local public school to special events.
